Andrew Hood
Andrew Hood is a barrister at the Bar of England and Wales and currently
holds two posts in the British Government – as the Prime Minister’s Legal
Adviser and the Head of International and EU law at the Attorney General’s
Office. Before joining Government service Andrew Hood was a judicial
assistant (a law clerk) in the UK Supreme Court and was a tutor of
constitutional law at King’s College London. Since joining Government in
2003 he has served as a legal adviser in the Foreign Office and represented
the United Kingdom at the European Union 2009-2012. He was also a
visiting fellow at the International Centre for Transitional Justice. Before
taking up his current appointments, Andrew lead on European strategy and
review at the UK Cabinet Office.
