Prof. Chong-Min Park

Park, Chong-Min is professor of public administration and director of the Varieties of
Governance (VoG) Center at Korea University. He served as dean of the College of
Political Science and Economics at Korea University. He received his doctorate from
the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley. He has
directed the Asian Barometer Survey in South Korea. He currently serves as principal
investigator of Quality of Government and Varieties of Governance, a multi-year
project supported by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea and the
Korean Research Foundation of Korea. His current research areas include democratic
governance, rule of law, and bureaucratic capacity. His most recent co-edited books
include Inequality and Democratic Politics in East Asia (2019) and The Quality of
Democracy in South Korea (2018).
