                     This constitution establishes the principles for politics and society

               to move forward in new directions under a new legal framework, new
               processes, and new mechanisms. This is the time to lead Thai
               democracy to face new challenges again. In time, will democracy pass

               all challenges and establish stable roots in Thai society? How will the
               new constitution solve problems and take Thai democracy in the

               expected direction? What conditions and factors support Thai
               democracy’s likelihood of success in these aims? And what are the
               challenges that Thai democracy has to confront and overcome?


                     To find answers and  hear academic suggestions leading to

               permanently rooted democracy. King Prajadhipok’s Institute, as an
               academic institute with a mission to develop democracy and good

               governance for the sustainable benefit of the people, is organizing the 19
               KPI Congress to be held during November 10-12, 2017 at the United
               Nations Conferences Centre, Rajdamnoen Avenue, Bangkok.


               2. Objective


                          1) To exchange knowledge and experience among Thai and
                             foreign experts from relevant sectors in order to improve
                             and develop democracy  according to the new

                             constitution in this transition period.

                          2) To generate the proposals to drive Thailand toward

                             desirable democracy and secure the cooperation of all
                             sectors throughout the country.

               3. Format



                     The KPI Congress XIX will comprise the following three main
               activities:
