1.1.5 Sustainability in work
The work of peer mediation and sustainability in work can be achieved
through the handover and transfer of work from seniors to juniors.
1.2 The assessment of success in peer mediation in schools
After the key informants from all four schools assessed their own agency on the
success of peer mediation, it was found to be successful mostly, representing more than
80%. This result is determined by the number of successful mediations, the decreased
number of quarrels, and the court's invitation to give a mediation demonstration. There
is training from various agencies to provide knowledge to students who act as the
mediator. When students take responsibility for peer mediation, it helps them to have
leadership skills and strengthen their discipline, in which they become a role model for
other schools. All of which will make their schools and other students proud. In a case
of peer mediation where parents are involved, the first thing to do is talk to the parents
as they can help to talk to their children too. The assessment can be determined by the
intention of personnel in working, the lack of recurring problems, and both parties are
able to talk and coexist with an open-minded attitude. After the mediation, both parties
have a friendly personality and attitude towards each other. They become happy and
friend with other each other again without any quarrel, some even become closer than
before. At present, in some schools, the assessment is made from a qualitative
questionnaire by observing the way of speaking and thinking.
